King Crimson - Lizard
Deep Purple - Deep Purple in Rock
Blue Öyster Cult - Cultösaurus Erectus
Pink Floyd - Meddle
Black Sabbath - Black Sabbath
Tangerine Dream  - Rubycon

interesting choice of The Stranglers by richardh; I have always claimed they are not a punk band but a prog band. "Black and White" would be my choice for favorite album too.

I would name Black Widow too with their self-titled album probably being my favorite, Blue Cheer (can't pick an album there) and The Pink Fairies with "Never Never Land". and I can't stand Simply Red.

I have to include a comment of my wife BaldFriede: "from a physical point of view black is actually not a color but the absence of color"

@RichardH:- I like four out of those five albums you mentioned. Smile

@BaldJean:- I can understand you not liking Simply Red, because when they released their first single, "Money's Too Tight To Mention", I couldn't stand them either, although I grew to like them years later, particularly after the release of their "Stars" album, which was the turning point for me in my hate/love relationship with Simply Red. Smile

I like Black Widow too. Smile
