I used all 25 options in the poll to include as many Progressive Rock bands from the classic 1970's era as possible, but my apologies if I didn't include your favourite Prog-Rock band in the poll.
I've no idea who's going to win this poll, so the final results should prove interesting.
My vote goes to Renaissance. Thumbs Up

No Jethro Tull? Very odd. No vote.

Whenever Yes is an option, they'll always get my vote.

I can edit Jethro Tull into the poll but it means I'll have to edit another band out of the poll.

I'll swap Jethro Tull for Todd Rundgren's Utopia. How's that? Wink

I guessed you might vote for YES, bearing in mind you had Chris Squire as your previous avatar. Wink

Clearly love a lot of those and it could never be easy, but Fripp is and have been an great importance to me during the last 40+ y, so have to go with the Crim's.

First and most important to me is Genesis.  Did not know what prog was until I heard "The Musical Box" in '75, followed by their new record Trick of the Tail.  Never looked back.

I voted for ELP, as they epitomized everything that is both sublime and repellent about Prog in equal measure.
Addendum: I'd be interested to know the demarcation criteria you perceive between Classic (70's) and Non Classic Progressive Rock bands (before or after the 70's?) Does this mean that you believe bona fide Prog ceased sometime in the late 70's?

My fave, Triumvirat, is not listed, so no vote. A lot of great bands on the list, though....

Rush are included now. I swapped them for Spooky Tooth. Smile
