These are my two favorite Modern Prog albums so I figured i'd square them off against each other. I vote wobbler, FSTS is my 3rd favorite album of all time and HCE is 6th.

Happy to see the overwhelming support for Wobbler, because frankly I agree. I’ll go as far as to say that it should be top10 on PA (top 5 in my book). But I do also love HCE.

Wobbler and it's not even, I mean.. shut the forum down this is not a contest whatsoever. Maybe if I'd actually heard either of these albums lol. Maybe I should listen to the Wobbler one if it's really that good.

I like both for quite different reasons, but I'll vote for Wobbler.

Animals and From Silence to Somewhere in one night? That’s too much power. |

Wobbler. Hand Cannot Erase is only my 4th favourite SW album but it is very good.

I haven't listened to these two in quite a while, maybe I'm gonna vote after I re-listen a bit.

I can't stand Steven Wilson, his music, and anything he's associated with, so this was easy.

I'll go on record. SW easily in this pairing...

Wobbler against Hand....but there are several early PT albums that for me are darn close.

I see what you mean about too much power lol. I just listened to that Wobbler album. Yikes, really good for a such a current album. Not that I would know, I almost never listen to anything current. So this was a good experience for me. My favorite track was probably Fermented Hours. The second track seems to server little purpose. Very short and quiet. Oh those kind of bonus last three minutes of the album were kind of cool. All in all a very good listening experience. Right on. Good album.

Funny, cause From Silence to Somewhere and Animals get played weekly for me as a ritual of sorts. Glad you enjoyed. |
