hard to pick among Ginger, Keith and Carl. All 3 beloved and likely the top 3 of any greatest drummer lists...

but since I like to rag on those who can't f**king choose I suppose I have to..

Keith..  completely unique and no one has ever approached him on the creativity scale.  How many other bands have their drummer as their musical focal point..  nadda.. zero.. it took him to make it possible

Moon just ever so barely edges out Bruford (maybe, still not sure) and then Bonham.  Honerable mention to Baker and Palmer.  After that, a pretty big drop to the rest of the crowd.

You have to include Guy Evans, (English) drummer of Van der Graaf Generator.

I have one empty slot to fill so I'll put Michael Giles in the last slot, seeing as he played on King Crimson's first two albums. Smile

John Bonham stated that Barriemore Barlow was "the greatest rock drummer England ever produced." And yet he is not on this list.

I already used up all 25 available slots with Michael Giles of King Crimson added as a last minute entry.

Indeed

My list of favourite drummers from anywhere would always include him

I would have preferred the poll to actually not include the likes of Palmer, Collins , Bruford etc (ie the technical greats) and leave a more heavy rock based selection like Bill Ward , Boneham , Moon etc. They were all phenomenal drummers though but with different remits.

Anyway I voted for Carl Palmer. I've not heard anyone touch him and he is still going strong and playing well.

Loads of mighty fine drummers there but went for Bill Bruford, as he strikes me as maybe the most versatile of those listed

You can select more than one drummer from the poll because I've just done so. You just need to select one drummer at a time and not all at once. Smile
