I was introduced to Dance of the Lemmings in about 1978-79 by the most notorious record store owner in my town. He was a Russian-Australian version of Basil Fawlty. I saw him him pretty well literally throw a hapless guy out of the shop for eating a sandwich, indicating the 'no eating' sign, and demanding, "can you read?"   In any event her plonked side two of disc one down and dropped the stylus near the  start of what I think is 'Dehypnotized Toothpaste',  announcing, "listen to this - This is the best guitar riff ever recorded!"

Anyway voted for that.

Agreed, loads of good stuff, went with Samla but could really vote for 4 or 5.

The only album I know in the poll is the number "666" by Aphrodite's Child so that's the album I'm voting for. Smile

Went with Amon Duul...Lemmings though I think I like Yeti better.
But also like Wigwam, Samla MM, Popol Vuh, Magma, etc....but there are at least 4 up there I never heard of.
One does nothing yet nothing is left undone.

sorry, but it does not help me understand.
Having listened to all three albums by Aphrodite's Child, I think the third album "666" wasn't quite as good as the first two albums, but I think it would have been better if "666" had been pared down to a single album, and then they could have left out the "song" infinity, which sounds dreadful to my ears.
