Hello everyone, long time lurker, after seeing a lack of Japanese
bands on the site I thought I would recommend one. They aren't prog in
the same sense a band like Wobbler is (70s prog imitation), but a large
portion of their discography exhibits what we consider typical prog
traits (classical/jazz influence, varying time signatures, varying
instrumentation, key changes, creative song structures, etc.). I'll
post some song samples now so you can decide for yourself:
I
listed them as crossover because even though all of their discography
exhibits great musicianship, a decent portion of it, I'd say about 50%
of it, is more straightforward rock/alt rock than the rest. But then
again I've seen bands listed in heavy prog in which their entire
discography is less proggy than Hello Sleepwalkers, so I might be
underselling them a bit. Band members: Thanks!
