There was a compilation called "Sequencer" which I like very much. Not sure if it's an official release, though.

It's apparently off Continuum.

Incidentally, Mr Schultze does not like other musicians contacting him at all and tends to ignore all mail by everyone. I suppose he must get bored of wannabe electronic musicians sending him drivel. ;-)

Hi,

If any mail is replied to it is done by his friend/agent Klaus Mueller (I think that is his name) and he is rather rude and not well intentioned when it comes to fans and inquiries. A few years back, just before they started putting out the WORKS series on individual CD's that Mueller guy was outright pathetic and rude in his reply.

Since then, though, many of the individual parts of WORKS have been done out on CD ... there is only one issue that some fans might/mightnot get ... it feels like the WORKS series was designed as "improvisation" and it has some outstandingly beautiful things ... that are, one could say, very different, than the usual stuff he does ... the regular stuff he does, and you can see it in his live stuff, is that he has so many things going on at the same time, that he uses the MIXER to bring them back up and down, and his pieces, while still lovely, and quite enjoyable, are way more intricate than the more simplistic material in WORKS ...

That is my interpretation and some notes do state that a lot of pieces in WORKS are improvised ... and it is pretty obvious that a lot of the regular albums are an over abundance (at times) of stuff coming and going that is really far out to listen to, but makes the music slightly more difficult to enjoy and appreciate if you are one of those folks that likes to flow on one or two things that "grab" you, which all of a sudden is faded out and the whole thing becomes something else.

SIDEBAR: This compares well to Davesax by the way, however, not having a mixer out in the open as visible and changing back and forth between things, is the main difference ... Dave's stuff is nice, but does not have the "depth" (couldn't find another word) in terms of the number of things happening at the same time in KS regular material. Let's say that KS uses 28/30 different lines (or instruments) and Dave is only using half that ... which does not in any way make it less worthy, Dave's is worth the attention, but not in a class like KS would normally be ... and that's understandable ... KS has been at it for at least 60 years, and Dave is working on his Wheaties really well. KS, is probably more "classical music" oriented than Dave is, who seems to be more "electronic" oriented, which might be better for some folks that don't care for the more classical music designs for an orchestra let's say!

Music is not just for listening ... it is for LIVING ... you got to feel it to know what's it about! Not being told!
