Been listening to TMR a lot recently. Dig em.
Do you think they are prog enough for PA? |

They are a trio and they have Rush in the name, so I'm all for it. The videos were interesting. I am listening to their new album now. Kind of reminds me a bit of The Mars Volta. I could see them in Heavy Prog.

^Thanks for your feedback, Scott. The Mars Volta I hear, also Sabbath. Hope you enjoy them.

I thought that the album was pretty good on first listen. I haven't heard of this band before. I also heard a few bass lines that reminded me a little of Primus.

^Thanks for your feedback. I recently read of TMR in Prog magazine and have become an instant fan. They have six albums so I need to catch up. All the influences you mention are spot on but they somehow retain their own sound. As a trio, I like that they don't overproduce their albums. They sound raw and fun. Would be awesome to see them live.

I really like the sharp guitars and that bass tone but could never get into those vocals. If they should be anywhere I'd bet on Heavy Prog. Feel free to suggest them on the "suggest new bands" topic.

Radiohead vibe? What other influences do you hear? Digging their new album Dancing Maze. Killer but subtle musicians.

Listening to their album, Dancing Maze, right now. The bass is very reminicint of Primus
