SOUR are a Psychedelic rock band that were formed in 2012, in the city of Bogotá. Among the genres that influenced the sound of the band we can mention Psychedelic Rock, Jazz-Rock, Blues Rock and different styles of Experimental Music among others. With departure of two of the founding members in 2014 and with the arrival of Alejandro Palencia, the current line up of the band begins. SOUR's current line up was completed when in March 2015 Wilman Beltrán enters as the band's vocalist and finally in August 2015 when Felipe Trejos enters on electric bass; SOUR have continued with covers of the bands such as Pink Floyd, The Doors and Tame Impala among many, with the focus on Psychedelic rock.
During the first semester of 2017, the band have got an opportunity to play at the Baltika Records Festival where the finalist position was successfully reached. Parallel to this, during 2016 and throughout 2017, the band have focused on the distribution of their music through platforms such as Spotify, iTunes, Soundcloud and YouTube, and social networks such as Facebook and Instagram. In April 2018, SOUR have released their s/t debut EP. On September 25, 2020, SOUR have released their second EP titled "China Rice". I suggest SOUR for Progarchives because their take on Psychedelic rock is experimental yet enjoyable, fresh and proggy indeed. Members are:
Alexander Rendón (Lead Guitar)
Alejandro Palencia (Keyboards)
Felipe Trejos (Bass, Guitar)
Julian Buitrago (Drums) ![]() Edited by Boboulo - September 25 2020 at 18:21 |

listening to 'Chinese Rice' now some non prog psychedelia, though overall it sounds like a valuable candidate for the psych/space department reminds me of a couple of bands from Spain like Atavismo aso Edited by Rivertree - September 26 2020 at 02:50 |
