I'm getting a sense of deja vu. I think we've had this argument before. Smile

why do you say we never have a "discussion", you always use the word "argument"?

The answer to your question is obvious, which is why he has not answered it. Why would he have made a poll for the general public if it was just for himself?
That's all I will say.

I like to have a discussion, but you like to turn it into an argument. Ouch

You misunderstood.
He said he would not make an albums poll because he wouldn't be able to choose. Aren't the rest of us the target audience? Wouldn't a poll start a little bit of conversation? I don't understand...
It makes little sense to me... Confused

Many of my favorites are on this list. I gave my vote to one I do not think will get a lot - Jade Warrior.

Ok.
He made a poll including these particular bands/artists because they were on his YouTube channel, I don't know why he made that remark - maybe another reason?

Why don't you do an albums poll if that's what you'd prefer?

You may have noticed that you're the only one who's complained about this being an artists poll. Smile

Gentle Giant should have been listed instead of David Gilmour... GG was arguably the most British of British Prog bands, and Gilmour is already represented here by Pink Floyd...

I was thinking about doing a modern prog albums poll.

When it came to choosing an artist for the letter "J", Jade Warrior won by a narrow margin over Jethro Tull, so I'll save Ian Anderson & co. for my second A-Z list.  Smile

Interesting point.
Anderson's Scottish (I think), Fruupp are Irish, Mercury of Queen's Indian by birth... hm.
Great bands, though, all of 'em.

I am not complaining at all. In fact all I did was telling you I cannot choose because there are too many bands to choose from (I can give my vote to like 6 of them). And that albums poll are much more interesting...

I've never been a fan of Gentle Giant, and I already have Genesis lined up for my second A-Z list.

Maybe I'll feature Gentle Giant in my fourth A-Z list, after Greenslade in the third list. Smile

I already answered your earlier question by explaining why there are 25 artists in the poll. Are you suggesting I should split the alphabetical poll up into four polls of six letters each just to suit you?

So am I! Modern prog is under-discussed here, if under-discussed is a word.
