I have always liked the Einstürzende Neubauten logo:



A more weird one was that of the Danish socialist rock band Røde Mor (designed by Dea Trier Mørch, the then wife of singer Troels Trier):

I always thought of the Prince logo as being a cross of the symbols for man and woman with a post horn. oh, and a sexually impotent man too since the arrow points down

This was always my favourite - used to practice drawing it on my school books during boring lessons, I love the way the Y and the S interconnect through the E.

The transitional blue is representative of water, deep and shallow.
The 'Y' appears to be high water flowing down into a stream that meanders through the 'E and spills out into the ocean 'S'.

See, I did pay attention in art class.
