Any other Islands out there? I’m sure there are, and I’m sure I could come up with some myself, if I thought about it. But if someone says Islands to me, these are the first two I think of.

Mike Oldfield has an Islands from 1987, but I don't think it's considered very good...

Never had much affection for what I think is a rather spotty Crimson album (although I adore Sailors Tale and admire Bob & Co's chutzpah for lifting the chorus of Chim Chim Cheree straight from Mary Poppins to use in Ladies of the Road without anyone seeming to notice) Smile Voted for Island's Pictures which even 40 years hence still contains some of the most labyrinthine Progressive Rock I've ever heard to rival that of Gryphon's Red Queen to Gryphon Three and much of Gentle Giant's output.

I LOVE Pictures! An extremely underappreciated (and, apparently, relatively unknown) album.

Great response to the other "Islands" poll!

Island's Pictures is one of my all time favorite albums. The KC album is great too but not as adventurous.

It broke into the top 250 here on PA for a short time so it's thankfully caught on.

Oldfield's album is brilliant imo
