I really enjoy this guy's work, but as soon as he put Rivendell on the list, I stopped watching Smile One of the most underrated 70s Rush tunes

He shows the album covers one after another so you can go through it  in say 1:30 and know what they all are.

In fact I'm not that keen on such a festival of negativity, however I have little if anythting to say to defend any of his choices against him (would have expected at least one that I actually like, but not so... the Yes track is OK, that's probably the best I can say, and I ignore the lyrics for saying that).

I stopped watching when he said Marillion - No One Can. Not even the worst Marillion song, let alone worst prog song ever. I also like Holidays in Eden a lot, the two Steves really shine on the album.

I will watch some more later.

Seems fair enough I guess. Likely a click bait type of video. He only selected from more well-known prog acts. Some of the songs he selected aren't actually prog songs, just pop songs from acts known for their prog output (i.e. Invisible Touch). To each their own.

Yup same first reactionEmbarrassedLOL, but I zapped (+/- 45") through it as he shows the album covers on the top right hand. Yopu get an idea of what tracks he means
Can't say I disagree with most choices (usually not good albums either) with the notable exception of GG's Interview

I don't have specific titles for all of them but here they are (but not in the correct order).

Rivendell by Rush
No One Can by Marillion
Circus Of Heaven by Yes
A Jethro Tull song from JethroTull.com (I don't remember which one)
Invisible Touch by Genesis
Learning To Fly by Pink Floyd
Prozac Blues by King Crimson
Taste of My Love by ELP (from Love Beach)
A Gentle Giant song from Interview (take it back I think)
A Song from Steve Hackett's Cured album

I wouldn't even call those ten tracks Prog, really (maybe some are proggy), nor would I have thought that they are (from what I know) the worst songs of any genre from bands known for Prog. But, as some would argue, genre labels are unimportant, and worst is based on what you know and is compared to what you like (subjective). Still, it's not a very diverse list as it focuses on the usual suspects who have delved into pop-rock music, and tend to make music more on the melodic prog side rather than the more "out there" bands. I would have liked to see a bigger cross-section of musical styles (I care about styles) and eras being represented. The song from my favourite album on the list is from Interview, and while I would not like that song on its own, in the context of the album I enjoy it.
Watching while most appreciating a sunset in the moment need not diminish all the glorious sunsets I have observed before. It can be much like that with music for me.

I completely disagree with the GG track, it's actually one of the better tracks from Interview. It's a fun track, and at the end, thats what GG is all about imo.

The ELP tune. There's only maybe three good songs on that album and that isn't one of them.

How can half decent 1980's dad rock songs like Learning to Fly and Invisible Touch be among prog's worst? It's just normal rock. The worst prog song might as well be something by The Ramones then. Because they really suck at prog.

Love that little Gentle Giant tune. Indifferent to the rest.

I disagree with what this sir says.

He took some commercial songs from these esteemed prog bands, and put them among the worst.

But they are just simple pop songs.

No One Can by Marillion is one of Marillion's most beautiful melodic pop songs, with an immediacy they don't often have.

Invisible touch is part of the most commercial Genensis, if this is bad, their latest albums are equally bad (it seems less beautiful to me than No One Can)

And we could go on.
Amos Goldberg (professor of Genocide Studies at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem): Yes, it's genocide. It's so difficult and painful to admit it, but we can no longer avoid this conclusion.

Agreed that most of those tracks he chose are not "prog" per se, anyways.

It's ridiculous to point out some tracks from Individual Touch  or Cured

Indeed, this is probably due to the author's hatred of reggae (he starts out that way)...
Anyways, I think there are three reggae-ish tracks on Interview.

I can mostly agree with most of his other choices (both tracks & albums, actually), but this one irks me

ELP - Taste of Your Love
yep that's a real stinker that hilariously made it onto a recent ELP compilation.
For ELP , The Hot Seat album has the most guff (by ELP) accepting Hand Of Truth.

Yes - Circus Of Heaven
that's a bit cringy for sure but I'm sure most of their recent stuff would better 'qualify'.

Don't have a strong opinion about anything else on the list although, as said , most of it isn't prog anyway.

The ten worst tracks are likely made by bands that no one's ever heard of.
