There was something magical and mystical about Court from the very first time I heard it so many decades ago. Crimson never quite hit that same note ever again.
...a vigorous circular motion hitherto unknown to the people of this area, but destined
to take the place of the mud shark in your mythology...

Larks' Tongues in Aspic for me, I loved In the Court... when I first heard it, but I just haven't returned to it in many years. Lizard is the KC album I have returned to the most.
Watching while most appreciating a sunset in the moment need not diminish all the glorious sunsets I have observed before. It can be much like that with music for me.

Larks
Dig me...But don't...Bury me
I'm running still, I shall until, one day, I hope that I'll arrive
Warning: Listening to jazz excessively can cause a laxative effect.

Still Court over Larks for me. Some albums has its own strong aura of sorts. In many ways KC's debut changed the direction of music. Along with a handful of others they paved the way for another kind of popular music. And they did so beautifully. I felt it over 20 years later when I was introduced to it.

Larks' title tracks are really powerful, but the effect kind of wore off after a few listens for me, and the rest of the tracks don't really measure up. Court is still a great listen all the way through and 21st Century Schizoid Man never gets old. Court it is.

Larks' Tongues in Aspic

even it's much newer acquaintance of mine, so it's not that easy for me to compare.

quality over quantity, and all kind of PopcoRn almost beyond
