Weather Systems. Not many prog albums have a duet and a song recounting a near death experience.

I thoroughly recommend Empath (not surprisingly!) as long as you’re prepared for extreme heavy debt through to Disney Devy!! Awesome album😎 |

All of these are out of my wheelhouse, but I like to think that I am pretty liberal-minded and open-eared. I do like to expand my tastes and try new-to-me things, I had heard music off some of these, but I spent time last night listening to a considerable amount of music from all of these albums, and again more today. I thought it might be rather anathema to me, but the one I not only weathered but warmed up to the most is Weather Systems.

I went with Weather Systems, though The Road of Bones is great too. From Marillion I would have chosen Script for a Jesters Tear, from Nightwish Imaginaerum, and I don't know Empath, but I do love Terria from Devin Townsend. Of all these bands my favourite would be Dream Theater, but I don't think they have one single whole album I love as much as some of these.

I was waiting to see how long it would take Cristi to tell me I'd got Images & Words the wrong way 'round.
