I've heard a couple of songs and I think they're pretty good. But, I don't know if they're proggy enough to be added here. Besides that, I love air, but I prefer fire, earth or water...

I know that band very much. They are my favorites in the new bands but I don't think they are progressive. They are certainly prog influenced but their greatest hit "Moon Safari" is good pop. The soundtrack of "Virgins Suicide", a film by Sophia Coppolla, is certainly the most prog-infuenced (a lot of dark mellotron) and is closed to the sound of Pink Floyd at the time of Ummagumma and early King Crimson with a touch of electronics. I recommended that album first to the progressive fans.
The two last albums are "10 000 Khz legend" and "Talkie Walkie" are very good but I recommend the first to the prog fan, the second (Talkie Walkie) is pop electonic. I haved the privilege of meeting them during the Moon Safari tour in 1998 and they are very cool. A very good band but I don't think they belong here.

Air is one of the best bands around right now. Moon Safari is
absolutely one of the coolest albums ever. 10,000 kHz Legend is a
strange diversion--some hard core Moon Safari fans hate this album--it
has more vocals and has some quirky arrangements. Talkie Walkie goes
back to the super-chill sound of Moon Safari and is almost as good. But
Moon Safari is one of those albums that will end up in every music
lover with taste's collection eventually.

I like 'em, although I wouldn't really consider their music progressive. If
anything, it has more of a mildly psychedelic feel.

Air
Proggy pop perhaps? Their music is not very complex but it's very pleasant on the ears. Moon Safari is a great album, 'All I need' had to be one of the best singles out that year. I also really like 'Kelly, watch the stars' The whole album is very listenable.
'Premiere Symptomes' is an excellent album. I think all the tracks are re-mixes of old material, but it's basically instrumental, ambient jazz pop..if you can imagine such a thing. The end result is brilliant.
Their latest 'Talkie Walkie' is also good, a retunr to form after '10,000 HZ..' which I thought was quite weak, but arguably their most 'prog'..
