Hall of the Mountain Grill. All are great albums though, but this is the first Hawkwind album I ever heard, so it's quite special for me.

Space Ritual is their defining document and one of the best live albums ever.

I like all those albums a lot. That Captain Lockheed has a Pythonesque/Mel Brooks level of quotability. Was on a zoom call with friends on Thursday and fell into a bunch of quotes.

Grill was my first Hawkwind album too. I still think it, along with Warrior, is the best of their early albums so voted for it, but I do enjoy them all, when I'm in the mood.

I saw Hawkwind when I was a student and was in the front row. The sight of Stacia, a huge woman with an enormous bust, dancing stark naked about a metre from my face was not something I enjoyed. The music was also pretty awful.
Since then, I've not been able to listen to them, so traumatised was I.

Hall of the Mountain Grill is my favourite Hawkwind album. Followed by Warrior and Space Ritual. After that, I lost track...

Funnily enough, it was statuesque Stacia who first aroused my passion for Hawkwind during my teenage years. Tongue

Love that early Hawkwind vibe - trancy, folksy and heavy all at the same time.  The big live album capped off the era well, then Hall and Warrior expanded the sound - great albums all.  Later LPs had their highs but nothing in the catalog really matches the 70-75 period.....the big exception being the Electric Tepee album from the early 80s.
I like to feel the suspense when you're certain you know I am there.....

.

Thumbs Up

But i have a equal soft spot for all those early albums..

I dont think Hawkwind live was supposed to be a comfortable experience in those days, particularly according to LemmyLOL

Anyway RIP Thunder rider and remember Jimi said 'this goes out to the Cat with the silver face'...Hug

I think she looks awesome in that video, but I can understand why a stark naked Stacia wasn't Hercules cup of tea.

I'm going to take the time to spin the middle four on your list and will be back. I'm glad your doing a series of polls though because his solo career has been nothing short of amazing.
