Many things are strikimg about The Truman Show, but also quite impavtfull in that film is its amazing music. Both melodic uplifting, cold atmospheric, and pure art. Some of it are gems in modern classical music terms..

The movie is touching and emotional, and the music amplefies that.

Music by Burchard Dallwitz and Philip Glass

Fully agree - this movie is in my All-Time Top 20, and the score is one of the best things about it.

Also enjoy the inclusion of Mozart's Turkish Rondo and Chopin's Piano Concerto #1. Peter Weir's films make excellent usage of classical music.

Totally agree! The Truman Show is just one of many outstanding scores from Philip Glass. Thumbs Up

Nice with some responces on this obscure post. The score for this movie really helps to capture the nerve of this film.

The music?

I dont remember it...

I love the movie.
Amos Goldberg (professor of Genocide Studies at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem): Yes, it's genocide. It's so difficult and painful to admit it, but we can no longer avoid this conclusion.

I will if time lets it reccomend to watch it and put notes to the score, attend it more with the ears and how much the score is a wessel to Trumans experiance and the angst in the film
