I've been trying to figure out what genre to call this song for probably a week now I have no idea. Does anyone here know what genre this is?

I've fixed the link:

No, I know how to behave in the restaurant now, I don't tear at the meat with my hands. If I've become a man of the world somehow, that's not necessarily to say I'm a worldly man.

As for the genre, I would say... electronic.

This song has NO genre !
It's a piano scroll with bland soundfonts.
How the song is PRODUCED will determine it's genre.

I can imagine this anywhere from an acoustic ballad all the way up to a full fledged prog assault.

What do you mean by how the song is produced?

I'd call IA muzakPinchWink
let's just stay above the moral melee
prefer the sink to the gutter
keep our sand-castle virtues
content to be a doer
as well as a thinker,
prefer lifting our pen
rather than un-sheath our sword

Maybe best if you just google music production or song production than have me yammer on about it.
But bottom line is, any song can be made to fit 'almost any genre' with a little arrangement and production work. How it was initially conceived and written is but a starting point (dots on a page).

From a Berklee Online article...

2. Shaping the Music

This second responsibility revolves around the question of how a producer takes the raw material of an artist’s song and transforms it into a finished recording. This function is both artistic and commercial. It must express the artist’s musical and emotional intent, but must also reach a broad audience.

George Martin opined that the producer is the person “who actually puts the frame around everything, presents it to the public, and says ‘This is what it is.’” It’s the producer’s taste that makes it what it is.

Is boring a genre?
...a vigorous circular motion hitherto unknown to the people of this area, but destined
to take the place of the mud shark in your mythology...

While I agree that Tensegrity doesn't feel like much right now but an unfinished draft. An idea for 1/3rd of something. It lacks a body - and a soul. However it's not difficult for me to imagine it becoming a part of something that could end up as Post-Rock of some sort (closer to "the Tortoise school" than GY!BE). It needs a human touch though. A real band. There's music can be made using electronics alone. Not this. It feels like it's pretending to sound human.

Absolutely a draft for a post-rock song.

I would not call it boring, rather... uncanny I suppose.

With some human touches it may even enter into the realm of math rock or jazz fusion, too!
Due to the rhythmic flow of the song, it's y hard to imagine some baroque pop being utilized as well in it.

Is that really a genre or just a use of a song?
