It is the end of the year, so...

No, no Doors here, although the playlist starts off with a very original rendition of their famous title interpreted by Katra Turana. On offer here a more or less eclectic collection of tracks by more or less unknown acts - at least, most were unknown to me. Compiling this poll I stumbled upon a couple of very interesting and beautiful tracks, so I hope you too will discover something that appeals to you. Some older tracks, some newer, not all masterpieces, but I think there is something in this list that you will like. It is not the end of Prog, anyway...

Listen and vote for your three favourite tracks from these:

In order of appearance:
Katra Turana - The End (RIO/Avant-Prog)
City Boy - It's Only the End of the World (Prog Related)
Nahrayan - The end (Exprimental/Post Metal)
SiJ - The End (Progressive Electronic)
Tonbruket - Dig it to the End (Jazz Rock/Fusion)
Joe Bailey - The Bitter End (Crossover Prog)
Slovo Mira - Black Fjord and the End of the World (Psychedelic/Space Rock)
The Tea Party - The Ocean At The End (Crossover Prog)
Ajalon - Light At The End Of The Tunnel (Symphonic Prog)
Plini - The End of Everything (Jazz Rock/Fusion)
Kyros - The End in Mind (Crossover Prog)
Mangala Vallis-  Is the End the Beginning? (RPI)

I'll check those tracks out when I get the chance, but to mention an other for now (hope you don't mind), Brave New World's "The End" off the 1972 album, Impressions on Reading Aldous Huxley. It's super special to me -- one of my very favourite tracks.

Okay, I got around to listening.

Katra Turana - The End. This is excellent!
City Boy - It's Only the End of the World. Not to my taste.
Nahrayan - The end. Very good.
SiJ - The End. Like this a lot.
Tonbruket - Dig it to the End. This is really great!
Joe Bailey - The Bitter End. Kind of cheesy and fun.
Slovo Mira - Black Fjord and the End of the World. I like this,.
The Tea Party - The Ocean At The End. Singer reminds of David St. Hubbins, but I like Spinal Tap much more.
Ajalon - Light At The End Of The Tunnel. Pleasant in part, but not for me.
Plini - The End of Everything. Not into that kind of guitar stuff.
Kyros - The End in Mind. Pretty good but not really my thing.
Mangala Vallis - Is the End the Beginning?. Not keen.

So a mixed bag for me with the first half being stronger for me, but some really excellent for my tastes choices in the first five.

It was well wroth listening to these for Tonbruket's Dig it to the End and Katra Turana's The End alone. Great choice and two very big thumbs up votes. And for my third vote the quite ambient/ atmospheric SiJ - The End.

Nice poll.

My votes go to Slovo Mira, Tonbruket and Nahrayan. These are acts to explore...
