In Camera is amazing, but come on - Pawn Hearts is Pawn Hearts.

In Camera is the Third Chapter of a wonderful trilogy:
1- Chameleon 2- The Silent Corner 3- In Camera. In my opinion, two masterpieces and an excellent album (In Camera). On the other hand, VdGG published three absolute masterpieces: - The Least - From H to He - Pawn Hearts. Hammill, on his own, or with VdGG, has produced fifth, I tell you 5 masterpieces in 4 years: 1070-1973. |

In Camera is my favourite PH solo album, but Pawn Hearts is in my alltime TOP 10 albums.

In Camera is my favorite Hammill album too, but it doesn't top Pawn Hearts. My idea of a blender is a couch cushion.

Voted for In Camera , such a masterpiece does not deserve a perfect circle score

I find both to be excellent and worthy of applaudation, but Pawn Hearts is just too great to not get my vote.

I've never listened to "In Camera", though I'm tempted to vote for "Pawn Hearts" anyway in spite of that... no vote (though I might listen to it just so I can vote for "Pawn Hearts" )

I listened to "In Camera". Although it may take a few listens to adjust my mind to it, I don't think it is as good as "The Silent Corner and the Empty Stage" (and certainly not as good as "Pawn Hearts", for which I vote). As for "Gog/Magog (In Bromine Chambers)", I already have a version of "Gog" as a bonus track on the CD I have of "Still Life". I've never particularly liked "Gog", and "Magog (In Bromine Chambers)" was too much like the second part of "Moonchild" to appeal to me (although I do think it is more interesting than the second part of "Moonchild"). |

I always thought all the beyond awful sounding live bonus stuff on the VdGG CD-reissues were an annoyance - I'd rather be without. Gog included. At least for me some music I now treasure, weren't instant love. The studio version of Gog/Magog included. For me the rest of the album is nothing but pretty great songs.
