I almost missed that fountain of Greek knowledge and wisdom. The Never Ending Illusion was the next-to-last album I added to the poll. I'm glad I didn't overlook it.

Music has always been a matter of energy to me. On some nights I believe that a car with the needle on empty can run 50 more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio. Hunter S Thompson

I'll go Astra over IQ.
INDUKTI and LONG DISTANCE CALLING would beat both if here but I'm a big fan of "The Weirding" and "Frequency". |

I was thinking crossover could be a fit. But if they get rejected, prog related could be second. They are progressive in the way the write songs, a progressive attitude if i may say so.

I don't know if they have, but Crossover would the place to start I would think. As for Prog Related, there are various boxes to tick off when it comes to that category. Does it sound related to Prog, does the band have a personnel relation to Prog? There are others, but those are two real biggies for me. Usually good for such things to go through a team first then get suggested with some backing arguments and facts to support the case. We accepted The Flaming Lips, still out, and got criticised for it (as it was not accepted before) despite the fact that it sufficiently fits the boxes now with the arguments presented now and that something closely related is now in PA. It still has not been added. It's not an exact science, but a good argument and trying to tick off the boxes in the definition for PR can go a long way. Often feels like damned if you do, damned if you don't. Oh well, haters gonna hate. I looked it up and did not find The Antlers being suggested. A psych/space band from the US called Antlers has, but that's different antlers and a less horny (erm, I mean thorny) issue as it is in despite Svet having suggested it. A lot of what I listen to not in PA is under some greater Prog umbrella... Prog, Prog related, Prog adjacent, whatever. |

Has this band ever been suggested? They could be at least put under prog-related.

Of these, it's an easy vote for The Decemberists - The Hazards of Love for me (hey look, it's not a two star review from you). I do like the maudlin and the Gong too.
A few not in the main list, or in Ian's list above of which I know and like, in PA: Boredoms - Vision Creation Newsun Gösta Berlings Saga - Detta Har Hänt Magma - Ëmëhntëhtt-Ré II Not in PA: The Antlers - Hospice Natural Snow Buildings - Daughter of Darkness (Prog to me) St. Vincent - Actor Matt Berry - Witchazel (surely inspired by Prog) |

Of these, I'm likely to listen to the IQ more often, followed by Astra. Hooray for vertebrates!
