Zanov's Moebius 256 301 over the Tangerine Dream, Klaus Schulze, Kraftwerk, Stomu Yamashta, Edgar Froese and Ashra albums.

Very nice poll per my interests.
Watching while most appreciating a sunset in the moment need not diminish all the glorious sunsets I observed before. It can be much like that with music for me; immersed in experiencing the moment.

Of this poll, Froese's classic Epsilon in Malaysian Pale (3 stars, Paul?).

Ashra, Gandalf, Hoenig, Kitaro, Synergy, Tangerine Dream, Wavestar – all classics, no question. Moonwind was on heavy rotation in '88!

At least it's 1 star more than I gave Aqua. Wink

That may simply be because my half dozen 5-star albums are more familiar to me than Edgar's Epsilon in Malaysian Pale. Smile

Moonwind is very good, but I like John Dyson's solo works even more so.  His solo albums will be coming up in the poll right after I run out of Wavestar albums. Smile

JOHN DYSON       'Ow do! It's John Dyson and 'e's not 'ere to vacuum yer carpets. He's from Sheffield in South Yorkshire, don'tcha know. He's known for the Evolution of a distinctive whistling synth sound and I'll tell yer that for nowt. He studied at the Berlin School of electronic music, but by 'eck, that's a long way to travel from Sheffield. Ta-ra for now, me duck. Wink

^I was disappointed by Evolution when I first heard it. The next few were expensive imports for the time, so I didn't follow Dyson's solo career beyond that. But those early Wavestar albums are chock-full of great textures and music.

I went to see John Dyson in concert in Derby back in 1995 where John constantly joked about his keyboard player being dressed in his pyjamas, which is maybe not so funny now, but you had to be there. Tongue

Didn't DWH die after he'd lived here in the States for a bit? Or did he go back to England first?

I remember it reported that Macca was in attendance at one of Dyson's concerts at a fest in the Netherlands many years ago.

I wasn't even aware David Ward-Hunt had died until just now. Ouch

Epsilon in Malaysian Pale. Brilliant one of a kind album.
I also love Blackouts, and a few more.
