This is maybe not progressive music but a severe issue for progressive music.

More than 1,000 musicians have come together to release Is This What We Want?, an album protesting the UK government’s proposed changes to copyright law.

Hi,

Hmmm ... Weird not seeing Edgar Broughton listed ... he has talked about this for some time. And other issues as well.

The bizarre side of it, is England continued attempt to create laws for the rich, by the rich ... and getting away with it ... which suggests that the public has no ability or right to decide anything. The folks creating this, and similar rules, need to be removed and fired. But it appears that no one in England can do anything to prevent these things.
Music is not just for listening ... it is for LIVING ... you got to feel it to know what's it about! Not being told!

Unformunately, there are lots of other prominent prog musicians absent on the albums list.

England doesn't create any laws actually, it's the democratically elected UK government that does. You do know how democracy works or has dictator Trump removed that in your neck of the woods?

I legitimately appreciate how they accidentally made a great lowercase/field recordings album

Hi,

Here they just fire folks for the lamest of reasons.

But the thought seems to me that so much of the stuff done over there is simply to satisfy the rich and the richer ... whose controls, seem like they are less an election ... sort of the more things change, the more they stay the same. And the media controls ... guess who owns it? Same in America, but I think that America is walking itself into a massive problem ... this disagreement between factions and vindictive thing here has got to stop and I'm not sure that it is going to work as well as some think. It's scary to see how things run in America ... and the folks in the big city do one thing, and the rest of the country does another! It's nutz!

An example was leaving the Euro and the whole European thing ... it looked like the rich were not getting enough money out of it ... as far as I can see. Somewhere this insanity has to stop.
