I am hoping someone on here loves this man, i think he is amazing...

I am looking for the lyrics to "Song for the North Star" from the Quah album

ANy other lyric sheets from that album would be great, also, i cant find anything other than the beloved Genesis online.

THANKS SO MUCH FOR ANY HELP!

I have the song learned on Guitar and piano and would love to sing it right, but i feel i have some words wrong...

Liked his blues in Jefferson Airplane and Hot Tuna (with Jack Casisdy - up there with Jack Bruce and Andy Fraser for great rock bass players) - but alas missed Quah. Tell us more.

Dick, its his career best, and should be heard! Very
different than his Jefferson Airplane and Hot Tuna
group efforts.

I am a prog fiend, i love prog and all to no end, huge into Genesis, yes, moody blues, jethro tull and so much more..

But JORMA KAUKONEN!?>!!! This guy is a genius.

His life story should be made into a movie, i feel, a gigantic love story that ends in a content man having gone through some amazing times in his life, and some of the most terrible times.

All while writing music and making great songs.

Phosphorescent Rat is my favorite tuna album, almost fully about his first wife Margareta Kaukonen (died in 1997) and his true love for her at the time.

Quah was made a year later when Jorma cheated on his wife in a supposed drug enduced rock and roll crazy ride.  He states he doesnt even remember the girl.  The song "Genesis" is a confessional about this cheating on his wife.

The album sights their crumbling relationship and the songs are amazing.  They broke apart in '84

Jorma and early hot tuna are phenominal, check it all out

Let's not forget Water Song by Hot Tuna. Simply an exquisite piece of music.
