Slint is totally a prog band. They are surely more of a prog band than
Radiohead. Anyone heard them? They are quite excellent à mon avis.

Slint
Along with Chicago's Tortoise and numerous others Slint are an alternative,'math-rock' band. But if Talk Talk and Radiohead are in PA...
BTW.Good Morning Captain from the 2nd album is one of my all time favourite tracks.

Do 'The Stanley' otherwise I'll thrash you with some rhubarb.

Slint was pretty good, and experimental, but I don't consider them a prog band.

i think theres a chance for them to get in the were experimental for there whole career which didnt last very long but if talk talk can get in theres a good chance for slint.talk talk started out as a new wave pop band they werent progresively experimental through there whole career unlike slint

Who cares if they're prog, what's the point. They're pretty great. Caught them on their reunion tour this year and they blew my head off with "Good Morning, Captain."

Have to say though that I do prefer the latter-day post-rock bands, but these guys were pioneers.
