Does anyone know much about this band?...As far as I can tell they only released one album (1973) then broke up due to musical differences. Did any of the band members then go on to form or join any other bands?

Electric Sandwich [Germany]

Electric Sandwich (72)

The best I can find at Gibraltar - where I discover I'm included amongst the contributing writers - what did I write??????????????????????????????

Brain label band that has been compared to Emergency. Purported to have great electric sax work.

If they are krautrock as the entry here indicates, I strong suggest you contact Alan Freeman at Ultima Thule In Leicester (tel no 0116 285 4545), I can't think of anybody who knows the genre better than him. Having had a sneak preview of the digital new edition of Crack In A Cosmic Egg to be published on CDROM- the Freeman brother's guide to krautrock - I'll be amazed if they haven't got something there with photos of the album sleeve.

Thanks for the reply Dick. I will check that out, they do seem quite obscure.

Thanks Oliver  ...I did notice that myself but they don't give any information on the band members (unusual for Allmusic)

And by the way, i advice to all krautrock fans this site, which is the internet version of a book about german prog, called "Cosmic dreams at play":

When I heard this band for the firct time I was impressed. They played hard-driving progressive rock with unique atmosphere. Some of the tracks reminds me of early Steppenwolf, some - Audience and some other bands with folk-prog music. It's a pitty that they released only one album.
