The latest edition of Jazzwise as it main lead story for gigs, is reviewing the recent London gig of Soft Machine Legacy (note: not Soft Machine) done a few days after the the untimely death of Elton Dean. Because of Elton illness, Theo Travis had been already  booked as stand in saxophonist, along side Hugh Hopper John Ethridge and John MarshallHugh is quoted as saying: the gig went on because they knew that would what Elton wanted, and then he would have wanted the minimum of fuss. The review states the show to be stunning, and Travis fitted in very well. Apparently the elusive Mike Ratledge even turned up to see the second show.
