Topic: A PERFECT CIRCLE Posted: March 25 2006 at 14:20 |
I'm a TOOL fan and I also like A PERFECT CIRCLE which I think are quite similar to TOOL in some aspects of their music.
So I was wondering...Why A PERFECT CIRCLE is not in the archives?, aren't they considered prog?, I think they are more proggy than other bands which are in the archives, indeed.
What do you think about them???

To me APC aren't prog and Tool are barely prog
I've got nothing against Keenan but I do not consider the music he makes to be prog

I love them (especially 'Thirteenth Step'), but they're not prog.
I could say the same about many bands in the archives.

Although maynard still sings, I don't find APC to be at all prog. I like them quite a bit and have all three of their albums, but they certainly not prog-metal. The songs are too short and generic hard rock sounding, IMO

I definately think Tool is prog, though. Opiate and Undertow aren't, but the other two are definately prog!!

They have some prog influences but I don't think they are prog (for
now). Sure they sound proggier than some bands on this site, but thats
just my opinion.
BTW, Thirteen step rocks!

Everyone needs to get something straight,APC is not Maynard James Keenan's band,it's Billy Howerdel's band.
APC was founded by Tool guitar tech Billy Howerdel, who also writes most of the music.
Howerdel played Kennan some of his tunes, and Kennan offered his vocal services if Howerdel ever formed a band. After founding APC,Howerdel even considered using a female vocalist before inviting Keenan to join.
