I try to make a bit of a noise about bands or albums I have found particularly impressive, and another one has just come my way - the brilliant Darwin's Radio, who have just put out their independently- released debut album Eyes of the World.

They are made up of a couple of ex members of Grey Lady Down (though, thankfully, sound nothing like them) and Declan Burke the guitarist / singer from the Rush tribute band Spirit of Rush.

There certainly are hints of Rush in their sound, but to me they sound like a proggier Enchant, with impressive, complex songwriting, great keyboard playing and some impressive harmonies. Many debut albums can be hesitant affairs as band's find their sound, but this one is right onthe money from the word go.  Astonishing stuff, and highly recommended

You can hear them at http://www.darwinsradio.co.uk or from my site http://www.sonicbond.com/prodtype.asp?PT_ID=332&strPageHistory=cat
