Darwins Radio - opinions?

Until just recently this was a good science fiction book, but it is apparently also a prog band. I got a copy of it in this week and gave it a single listen so far, I liked what I heard, but I'm curious if anyone else has heard of them or heard them and their opinions. Just to be upfront, this is because I'm considering signing them to my label and am curious of peoples opinions.
