Nuts - lovely - show me a bowl of pistachios & I'll show you an empty bowl & a burping 40 year old (enduring image, eh?)

Nothing wrong with wine!!!

I appreciate a good bottle myself (1998 St Emilion Mmmmmmmmmmm!!! A good rich bottle of vintage port Mmmmmmmmmmmm!!!!!!) - as for cheese, nothing wrong with that either....

Brie (sorry, Tauhd, but we make better brie in Somerset - SW England - than you guys do in France)

Truckle Cheddar (strong & sharp)

White stilton with apricots

Joren - I'm not surprised they water down the beer! You guys are too out of your skulls from spending too long in Amsterdam "coffee" houses!!

Danbo - as far as Scotch is concerned, I hope you're talking decent single malt, not this blended filth!!

Hmm - seems I am beginning to come across as something of an alcoholic - I'm not guys, honest (hic)

Only as a man who knows his evils.

I love a nice Gewurtztraminer with pasta and clam sauce. Merlot with a fireplace, my wife and some interesting instrumental music.

On the coffeshops: It seems that people from all around the world think The Netherlands = Amsterdam = drugs paradise. Well, the last part is true, actually , but there's more in Holland than Amsterdam... (there are coffeeshops in other towns too ). No seriously, officially you have to be over eighteen to get this stuff. But I have to admit I've smoked pot a few times. Well, I suppose most of the people here have, don't you?

I guess tere's a few more things we could touch on like hemoroids and toe jam.

There's no answer to that......

Well, there is, but there are impressionable 15 year olds on the site (Hi Alex) wouldn't want to corrupt them now would we??

You know, I was actually tempted yesterday to start a poll on what mind altering substances members of the group may or may not have used/taken in the past (I dare say many of the membership may have had less than 100% legal youthful experiences).

This was to be purely out of curiosity, but then my sensible self switched back on and thought such a poll/thread may have been considered less than responsible & may even have offended some of the membership.

how did a topic about Nine Inch Nails manage to get onto the subject of pot! My view is that: Nine Inch Nails aren't Prog, Vodka beats all other alchohol, Pot is great but not as good as alchohol, peanuts are only any good if there salted.

Re: mind altering substances.

MUSHROOMS are great because they arent dangerous but there still fun (and cheap)

Long live progression.

Ah the carefree days of youth, eh?? Just as well we've all left these days behind us, eh?? I mean, it would be irresponsible for people of our age to still be abusing our bodies.

Perish the very thought.

(Mind you, it would explain Dude's spelling)
