I LOVE After the Ordeal. I like most of them, though.

Very close between Can-utility and After the ordeal.  I do believe that ordeal sightly wins imo

Sorry, can't vote as none of those songs are 'classics' as proposed in the question. In fact they would even make poor 'B' sides on a seven inch vinyl! IMO

They are all brilliant but I chose Dusk on the basis that it is really extraordinary and even more obscure than HarlequinSmile

1.Can-Utility And The Coastliners
2.Absent Friends

I love the line from Can-Utility;
'Far from the North, Overcast ranks advance...'

I would have included More Fool Me

Do 'The Stanley' otherwise I'll thrash you with some rhubarb.

Seven Stones is a favorite... I love the vocal harmonies in the second chorus where collns is falsetto like crazy... well not that crazy but its beautiful... plus the mellotron section is outstanding... plus I love hackets clean guitar sound... its hard to notice it but its amazing...

But Can-Utility is just another league. It makes me cry... and Im not one of the crying people.
Really, I've only cried three in my life from music... Once was when I played a Hendrix's Hey Joe with some cover band I was completly stoned... Another time was when I heard Mike Oldfield's Amarok and also I was very very stoned... and One time I was just sitting alone listening to Can-Utility... and tears came up... without smoking anything at all... very special song then :)

Funny thing, I happen to be listening to a favorite minor classic not even mentioned in the poll: "Visions of Angels", but I had to vote for "Can-Utility and the Coastliners"... That Tony Banks can sure slap some chord progressions together!
"Live long and fester!"
