Taken from Voiceprint Music:

Three stalwarts of the Canterbury Scene have come together as the third incarnation of Brainville.  Brainville founder members Daevid Allen and Hugh Hopper join up with former Henry Cow drummer Chris Cutler for a concert at the Borderline in London on Saturday June 3rd  as Brainville 3. The band has previously performed with drummer Pip Pyle who sadly died in August 2006. Brainville also plan to play the Tritonales festival in Paris on the 8th of June AND also St Etienne on the 9th of June. The line up for all the concerts is

Daevid Allen: gtr, vocals

Hugh Hopper: bass, loops

Chris Cutler: percussion, ambience

The second incarnation of Brainville featuring Pip Pyle also have an album on release as part of Daevid Allen’s Bananamoon Obscura series of recordings. For more details please go here:

Where's The Borderline anyhow? LOL

Maybe you can 'phone them?

Only issue is getting back Sunday, but I'm sure it's possible.  You know how much I like Hugh Hopper and of course, Chris Cutler is a leg-end.  I'm not overly familiar with Daevid Allen's work, mind you, but I'm sure it'll be amazing!

See what you can do, eh?  I'm hoping you're able to sort it out.

I saw them at the Canterbury festival in September and highly enjoyable they were too. I'm not sure if I'll be able to make it to this one though.

Do you have to go?  Come on... neice, or Brainville? LOL

Lee, that party will be during the day, Brainville will be in the evening, way past your neices bedtime. Wink

You're coming from the US?

Oooh, where are you staying, Assaf?  It'd be a pleasure to meet you.  I can go without Lee, but it'd be nice for him to come too.  I'll see what I can do.  As I said, it's a Saturday, so I don't need to take time off work and besides, I have Fridays off anyhow.

If you and Gecko are travelling in for this one then I'll try to make it - if only to find out what you guys actually look like...

Oi, stop doing that!

Yes, maybe.  I really want to go to that, as long as there's no chainsaws. LOL

LOL

Assaf isn't actually coming. Cry

I can probably go, but I don't like going to gigs by myself and I have nowhere to crash for the night either.

This trio is very intriguing... I'd love to see them live. Maybe they'll have a RIO2 spot next year?.... Not sure, eh? Anyway, I really hope to get to next year's RIo festival.

Sorry for the joke, in real life I used to be much worse.... did those things all the time... Stopped now, found it's too cruel at times....
