I just love this band.  Been a fan of the eponymous debut for a while now, and recently got the second and am also impressed.

Can't decide. One of the two first. The third is also great. Haven't really given their  '04 release with the dumb, offputting title, a fair chance.

I've listened to their debut many times more than the others, but just because I've had it for much longer.

But don't believe in me

The first two are terrific.  Incidentally, it's interesting finding/ looking for musical references and inspiration in the debut.  Of particular interest to me was music in "Napier" that sounds so, so very reminiscent of Magma's "Ork Alarm" --  a deliberate homage perhaps.

I didn't listen to Pic_nic@Valdapozzo, and if it's as good as the previous 3, then I'll get that as well.
Voted for the first, but the second is as good probably.

I don't think I can decide upon one album. So far I have only heard s/t and abbiamo. I'm not a big fan of doing head to heads, I love them both equality.

How does Camere Zimmer Rooms compair [to the first two]? I'm thinking of purchasing it soon.

Their debut album is a prime example of Canterburian music

I'm pretty sure you'll really like Picchio dal Pozzo, darksideof.  Since you know a lot of music, I'd be interested to hear what you think of it should you you ever hear it.

Abbiamo Tutti.
.. is currently my most listened to album -- love it.  Wonderful band to check out for those into Canterbury, RIO/ Avant Prog, and Jazz Fusion (and, well, just about everyone really I think as it's accessible music -- some hardcore people may not think PdP's albums sufficiently daring, complex, and innovative I imagine). Wonderful albums, that they're not better known just goes to show how much great stuff there is out there, but I really think this is one band totally worth discovering.

I love the way music from the debut was integrated into the second album.  "Mettiamo il Caso" is such a good track -- lovely.

Shame so few have voted, but I don't imagine many forum members know more than the debut.  Not that I put much weight on popularity lists, but the band is quite well represented in the most popular 4000 albums at this site with three in the top 1000 (debut at 469, Abbiamo at 747, Camere at 808,  and, well, Pic_nic doesn't get a look in.  Bad title, but good album).

PdP's site is worth checking out: http://www.picchiodalpozzo.com/
Prog Archives provides one song, but the short samples at the official site of all their albums songs may be worth hearing even though they are too short, really.
