Hmph, that's great!

Seems like a lot of tracks though, must be shorter ones.

Probably my most anticipated release. I thought Amputecture was their best yet. Anyone like "Rapid Fire Tollbooth" off of Se Dice, No Bufalo? ...I do, it sounds like David Jackson playing sax in it.

I can't understand how people can listen to leaked mp3 tracks. You're not even 100% sure that is the real song, and you don't get to hear it in context, and you don't get to read the lyrics and look at the album art while listening to it in CD quality..... just, I don't get it.

that's not a leaked track--it's a link to a video endorsed for release by the band as a sort of teaser for the album

(so please don't fuss at me for future reference in the thread!)

enjoy!

Seems like people like to tell others that they've already heard unreleased material more than they like the material itself, or the band for that matter.

Get over yourself, people. True fans don't want the fun spoiled just yet. Riiiight?Ermm

^^Once again, if you're referring to my link...maybe you should check it out...it's NOT a leaked track

it's literally 2:30 mins of a 60+ minute album...geez.

Oh, dood, I wasn't addressing you. I couldn't even get that link to work.LOL So I didn't even know it was a video or anything.
I've met people (in person, not here) that have claimed to have heard tracks already.

oh okay...some people were having trouble with it on the site i found it on (Comatorium) as well.. you need the plugin for the newest Quicktime...

But it's a video of "Wax Simulacra" (Idle Tooth for those that've been following along for a while)...

worth the plug-in because it's a kick-ass song.

--and also, i've heard 3 songs off of the album, and i don't deny it...but, if you were wondering they kick utter ASS. this album is SURE to be their best, i'm not even going to allow myself to listen to any others off of the album like i usually do (although I ALWAYS buy their albums--vinyl as well, so no preachin about that haha)...

But I just thought I'd let you know 1) i'd never post a link or anything to the leaks on this site or ANY site, if you wanna find them they are there, but this site restricts advocation and i wouldn't give it anyway on any site... and 2) this album is f**king amazing so far...and i've only heard 15 mins of it

GET READY FOR THE ALBUM OF THE YEAR...

haha, well, believe me, it'll be worth the wait entirely. this album WILL surpass all of their previous efforts in my opinion, based on 2 observations: the new drummer is a f**king beast that makes john theodore look like french toast (whatever that means...) and 2: omar has finally learned how to produce (because i think he had help!)

so, commence the pants wetting, but all of our sweat will be worth it in

...some 90 days

Ah, but has he stopped being such an annoying singer like on Amputechture? That's the real question. :P

in my opinion, yes...

but then again, i didn't find him so annoying on Amp.

however: he has stopped over-using that octave-dubbed "chipmunk" voice as much on the tracks I heard if you were wondering, but i'm going to quit answering questions regarding the leak unless through PM because i think that's a big no-no here...

Why are the majority of the song titles impossible to pronounce? Possibly to deter people from shouting out requests?

"Yeah! Play that one! That starts with an A... and ends with a... Z I think..."

haha, that's a good theory.

if you look the words up, many of them have significant meanings...you'll get used to it

with Amp, De-loused, and Frances it was the same way mostly (barring a few like "The Widow")...but eventually we all learned how to pronounce them and 3/4 of us even learned what most of them meant! We'll be fine They'll grow on our tongues.

I'm a big mars volta skeptic, in my eyes they have only been going downhill, tremulant and the summer demo sessions are some truly inspired interesting and captivating music, De-loused was awesome but overproduced and a little over the top at times, frances the mute was 20 minutes of decent music smothered by 50 minutes of crap, Amputecture is just boring.

I fear this new album may yet be their worst judging by the road they've been travelling.

bedlam should be great, and the single 'goliath' is scheduled for release within 2007, so im waiting fr that at the moment

quick point, everyone here seems to insult the chili peppers at every chance and say theyre 'over rated' and such but john frusciante was featured on every track on Amputechture, except for 'Asilos Magdalena' and flea plays trumpet on various tmv albums

the chilis are talented musicians, lets all stop insulting them

talented musicians don't necessarily make good music, also Anthony Keidis ruins any possible good that could come from that band.
