No order necessary, but what are your favorite symphonic (you can use the term as loosely as you want) prog albums? At the moment, I'd go with:
- Close to the Edge, Yes
- Si On Avait Besoin D'Une Cinquième Saison, Harmonium
- Tales from Topographic Oceans, Yes
- Relayer, Yes
- Fragile, Yes
- Selling England by the Pound, Genesis
- Foxtrot, Genesis
- Per Un Amico, PFM
- Hinterland, Wobbler
- Boris, Yezda Urfa

There is so much good symphonic out there, so I won't call these the ten best and they aren't really my ten favorite. Let's say that they are the ten that I would recommend to somebody who wanted to know what symphonic prog is all about.
Yes -- Close to the Edge: The best album from the masters of the genre.
Genesis -- Foxtrot: Brilliant album with the definitive epic.
PFM -- Per Un Amico: The Italian Symphonic album that shows that the Italians understood prog at least as well as the best of the English bands.
Genesis -- Selling England By The Pound: The definitive Genesis album.
Camel -- Mirage: For the space of three years, Camel was putting out material to rival the top names of prog. This is the first and best of those efforts.
Le Orme -- Felona e Sonora: I don't speak Italian so I don't really get the concept behind this, but it's some really strong music.
Rick Wakeman -- Journey To The Center Of The Earth: The seminal symphonic prog album. Everything that we love and hate about symphonic prog is on display here in all of it's pompous glory.
UK -- UK: This is a delightful debut album brought to us by an underrated but extremely talented supergroup.
Yes -- The Yes Album: Two albums by Yes bookend the most productive period for symphonic prog, The Yes Album and Going for the One. I include the former as it's the more important one for it's influence on the genre.
Emerson, Lake and Palmer -- Brain Salad Surgery: The best effort from ELP. The three Karn Evil 9 impressions showcase this band at it's most powerful.

While Jon definitely deserves his Prog Related tag, Olias goes above and beyond. If he were judged on that album alone, he'd be in symphonic (or maybe we'd put him in space rock?)

I agree, Olias is his best work by far, but still I can't get it, too weak and with hints of early New Age IMHO.
I went to saw him in Lima playing alone and it's one of the two concerts I left before the end (being the other a genesis act during the Invisible Touch tour).
