Paul Butterfield Blues Band

Based on a random comment I made in one of the forums here lately, I started thinking about the Paul Butterfield Blues Band.  Certainly East West (the song if not the album) was a massive influence on early prog-related bands.  And if Blood Sweat and Tears deserves a place here...well Butterfield Blues Band clearly chewed them up and spit them out.  I realize this is no urban blues appreciation site, and the band is clearly more blues than anything else, but, what do you think?
