I ran across this band called Unifaun.  They are on the Progress Records label.  They list their one and only influence as 1972-1980 Genesis.  It appears that their debut album is due for release in June 2008.

They have songs available for listening on their MySpace page:

And on sound.click artist page:

With these references alone, most likely they will be a good fit for symphonic.

Of course I'm not involved with the symph team, but I was listening to this Genesis clone last night.  I'll mention it to their team.
Just a fanboy passin' through.

In thecase of Symphonic, we rather wait for a band to release an album before adding them and it's announced for June 2008.

I heard all the samples and full songs and we have to add them (in their moment) but onlt because they are Symphonic, I believe we have enough Genesis tribute and clone bands.

When they release their album will surely be added, no rush in a clone band.

As soon as thealbum is released, will be added, UNIFAUN is a no brainer for Symphonic, not the greatest material, mostly a tribute Genesis band, but it's Symphonic.

Please PM me when released.

This is really good. Very faithful to the old Genesis sound and very pleasant.

What is this, retro-prog that I actually like?!

I must be a strange Genesis fan, but I believe I had ejnough of Genesis clone bands.

Each time I listen my favorite albums (Foxtrot and Nursery Cryme) I feel less impressed, because the real thing sounds less real with so many bands iut there trying to sound like them.

I always thought a band needs something new to offer, even when inspired in another, but Unifaun doesn't offer us anything new or original IMO.

They are good musicians, that's beyond any doubt, but that's not enough for me on this days.

Unifaun will be added because they belong here and originality is not required.
