Seeking recommendations for bands that have a similar prog fusion style like the Japanese band Kenso. Since their Nearfest 2005 appearance I have gotten into them, and really love their kind of laid back dual keyboard synth heavy prog fusion style. Any bands similar to Kenso----Japanese or otherwise from those that know about Kenso's music?

btw, I know they are similar to Bruford's solo work, which I already have most of, as well as some of Holdsworth's stuff, and there is a definite influence from the instrumental work of mid period Genesis (ala Los Endos) which is my favorite era of Genesis, so that supplies more background on my tastes.

I only know these bands by reputation, so I hope you don't mind the suggestion, but apparently Ain Soph (another Japanese band) might appeal to you.

I agree with the Ain Soph suggestion, notably their debut A Story of Mysterious Forest is excellent!

I can hear much Gentle Giant and Return to Forever in them though, whom I presume you are already familiar with. Check out KBB (another very good Japanese fusion band), Gong (76-78 stuff) and Dixie Dregs if you haven't. Im sure you'll love them as well!
