 King Crimson-Live at Nokia Theater Sun 8/17/2008

What a fantastic band! The best Progressive rock band in the true meaning of progressive? I believe so. 
Never a dull moment even you saw then the whole past 4 days.(I am too damn broke and poor to purchased tickets for the 4 shows)So I just saw them last night( Sunday,their last night) and every time I see this band live is pleasant satisfy experience. Basically because KC isn't the  type of band which play their music and do their solos notes by notes like some bands out there (a Good example is RUSH which I was in July at Jones Beach. The concert was great, but as always they don't surprised me with new arrangement as King Crimson does all the time)The Mighty Crimson had always been a band that love to improvise and re-created new arrangement of their songs Just like Jazz/fusion bands does. think that is why KC is my top fav band and to my knowledge the best band live.
 However, I would love to hear older materials from their first 4 albums. that would be a sweet treat. would that ever happen?
The venue was great and I don't have any complaint about it. My only complaint is that the concert was kind of too short (1:36 Minutes) with the 2 encores. I wished that it was longer.
It was great to see Gary on the drums and what a phenomenal drummer he had become. I wasn't too happy when he became a member of Porcupine Tree because I love Chris. PT original drummer)I was soo amaze how well he played together with Pat the funny thing was that I had a small fast vision that Gavin was Bruford when he was young. he was that good.
Th band was relax and as some else said they were in top form.
let's hope they record some new material so they will tour again soon. Last time I saw them here in NYC it was back in 2003. 5 years is a long time!
also I want to inform you guys that I got one of  those limited lithograph ( No.137) that was a great souvenir!

Barry Godber (1946–1970), an artist and computer programmer, painted the album cover. Godber died in February 1970 of a heart attack, shortly after the album's release. It would be his only painting, and is now owned by Robert Fripp.[4][5] Fripp had this to say about Godber:
Barry Godber was not a painter but a computer programmer. That painting was the only one he ever did. He was a friend of Peter Sinfield, and died in 1970 of a heart attack at age 24. Peter brought this painting in and the band loved it. I recently recovered the original from EG's offices because they kept it exposed to bright light, at the risk of ruining it, so I ended up removing it. The face on the outside is the Schizoid Man, and on the inside it's the Crimson King. If you cover the smiling face, the eyes reveal an incredible sadness. What can one add? It reflects the music.[6]
