The new Murple album, Quadri di un'esposizione, is now available at the BTF website.  I haven't heard it yet, but I look forward to it!

It's actually a pretty decent album.   No, it's not "Io sono Murple" but (IHMO) it's not nearly as bad as the review of it on progarchives.    I'd give it a 3.5 stars.   Clap     The album runs a little under 34 minutes.  That has never bothered me as I'd rather have a quality album of 30 minutes than a filler album of 70 minutes.

To my ears, the Murple sounds better than any new Le Orme and even sounds better than "Paradiso" by Metamorfosi (I could never get into that album after listening to the outstanding Inferno).

On the new album I like what Murple did with the addition of the small orchestra  and the gregorian chant/choir.   Nice mixture of the analog keys sound of the early 70's with the addition of some of the newer digital sounds.

Welcome back Murple.   See you again in another 34 years.
