You aren't the only one who loves them. Hopefully the next album is just as awesome as the last one (or two depending on how you look at it). Definite yay from me.

I didn't really care for it when I heard their album (act II)... it seemed a little to poppish/angsty for my taste. I might just need to give it some more listens though - there were some good parts after all.

There's a handful of albums that while I listen to them I think to myself, anyone who doesn't like this honestly has to be an idiot. This describes The Dear Hunter's discography. They really served as a bridge for me into many different styles of music I had been neglecting. I discovered them at a time I was pretty much bored with music. I remember thinking I never get chills up my spine when listening to a song anymore, and then I hear Battesimo Del Fuoco and that pretty much changed.

Anyway long rant to say incredibly original band, amazing song writer in Casey, and also very down to earth material. New material sounds great so far. Big yay.

I don't get your Venn Diagram. How can music belong to both the set "music I like" and "music I used to like"

^^ the joke is, if I like Supertramp (for example), but then I find out later that you also like Supertramp, then I immediately have to stop liking it, because I'm such a musical snob that I can't believe anything you listen to could possibly be any good...Wink

Fantastic band, I don't get how someone who likes good music couldn't like them.

I love them - but I wish they'd get a move on with The Dear Hunter hexology and not waste time with the 'Colours' ennealogy inbetween, I would like to hear the end of the story and I'm not that young. Confused
What?

Just listen to "His hands matched his tongue" from the first album. OK, silly title but what a song!
I love 'em (sorry Jared).

Yay, fantastic music they have. Act III is simply hard to resist. In a few months I may conclude that it's the album of the year for me, though I'm afraid my favorite Transatlatntic and Trans-siberian Orchestra may just top this one.
