The Gap Is Too Wide conquered me, but I think their best track is Mother Nature.
There are at least 15 more tracks on the same level, anyway.

Shrinking Violet wins it for me (Findlay is just staggeringly good on this), but it is a really close call. A great band who deserve far more airplay.

Interestingly, of the 2 tracks currently leading the poll, Heroes Never Die is Bryan Josh's tribute to his late father, whilst The Gap is too Wide is Iain Jenning's tribute to his late mother.

I finally made my mind up (after listening to all the albums one after the other) and went for Evergreen, just ahead of The Night Sky. And I also realised how many truly great songs I'd had to leave out of the poll!

Distant Train is my fave MA track , the Last Climb is amazing too but here I voted for Heroes , just a masmerizing song full of sad passion. The first 3 MA albums have a lot of great tunes though. I hope they come back to prog soon!

From the list:
1. The Night Sky
2. Shrinking Violet
3. Evergreen.
4. The Gap Is Too Wide

Though I think MA have lots of good songs which are not included in your list (The Spirit of Autumn Past (both parts), Mother Nature, The Dark Before The Dawn, Distant Train, Bitterness Burnt, Pass The Clock).

Few bands have created so many great tracks as this (rather neglected, in my view) band.

These are my personal favourites (cutting it down to 10 choices was not easy).

Which is yours????
