For prog-related:

I haven't got time for this, So I'm looking for someone that likes the band GOLDEN EARRING  and write up a bio. Once and if accepted by the Admiins (I don't want to sell the bear's skin before killing it hereWink) , we'll open up the artiste entry page with his bio (dully acknowledged)  so he can enter the albums.

Careful, here! ExclamationGE's full studio and live discography are needed so this is consequent job.

sooo this band made some proggish (and even one or two progWink) records from 69 until 77 and are still around today!!

Don't be fooled by Radar Love and Twilight Zone, which were a bit out of character.

What do you think of GE in PA????

Any takers????Smile

I agree that GE deserves PA attention. I cannot say I know well their entire albums, but their best songs, She Flies, Radar Love, Vanilla Queen, Are You Receiving Me, Mad Love Is Coming have strong prog influence - long tracks, changes of tempo, extended soli by guitars, saxophones....

I would even dare to suggest Heavy Prog category, based on indivudual songs I heard.

so adding a truncated bio should not be a problem.

OK, the inclusion has been done and looking at the posts on several threads we have quite some fans in our midst. At the time I'm writing this post the band is included for over a week and has made it to four (4!) reviews (incl ratings). For comparison: Metallica had far over 25 reviews in their first week.

My point is: where are these high praising GE-fans now the work has to be done ??? I mean, I'm not even a real fan and I have done a review by now. So Seyo, Alberto Munoz, Chris Stacey and all the others: get to it ! Otherwise I get the feeling: Where was all the fuzz about to get this band included ? You're making a mockery out of GE with this non-action. I'm very disappointed.
A day without prog is a wasted day

Agree, I can promise 3-4 album reviews coming in a few days... but I wonder - GE should not be so unknown band in the world. I expect more reviews...

It's called "Time", come on give some of us a break. Personally I have about 100 reviews to catch up on and I will get to GE at some stage but time is a premiun you know?

Anyhow got to dash for my morning run, then shower, drop one of the kids at school, 9-5 job, dodge peak hour gridlock traffic on way home, engage in converstaion with my other half, interract with kids, oops catch up on PA activity...,.bedWink
