Well he left the band because of the inactivity more than anything.I think he left on good terms so who knows if he'll be back. Can't help but wonder if Gavin Harrison might get the call,if only because he worked with Matheos on the last OSI album.  Personally i hope Zonder gets the call and wants to play.

Please come back Zonder. He is such a unique drummer. I donŽt see anyone replacing him ( ...well maybe Neil PeartBig smile) with success but weŽll just have to wait and see.

Great news, and the interview was rather interesting eventhough one of their albums is spelled as Pleasant Shade of Grade LOL.  Very curious to hear what new Fates will sound like after such a long break.

I agree about Zonder, a VERY unique Drummer (I remember Neil Peart in Modern Drummer giving him
some kind words Smile ).
I think he could do "Slaviour" and FW at the same time, if Alder can do "Redemption" as well as Matheos
in "OSI" (man, soo many side gigs!).  I'm hoping Frank Aresti will join-up as well, but Joey Vera (Bass)
told me that he has a great Day Job, gotta' put bread on the table.
I suspect FW will re-invent themselves yet again . . . can't wait!

Zonder definetely ranks among my favorite drummers, with his very tasteful and original approach to the
drums.

A new FW album sounds great, looking forward to hear the result!

I managed to see them live in Thessaloniki in 2000 with Zonder... an unforgettable experience...

Fates could sell cds by having their record company sell in them in bulk to these retailers that regularly sell on Ebay.

Shame about Alder cutting his hair - if it is for getting a regular job, like Steve Morse and Bruce Dickenson did to get Air Pilot positions, that is very sexist and discrimatory in this age, especially since Women are allowed to keep their hair short.

They just played at ProgPower USA X a few days ago. Adler still has long hair. Aresti,Vera and Matheos were all there. No pictures of the drummer though.

Whoa!
Apparently the Drummer was "Bobby Jarzombek"! Shocked!!!

Go to Fates Warning Web-site and look under Line-up!  And there are plenty of Photos but
strangely there are no clear pics of Bobby other than the Kit Tongue!
But its obviously not NDV and the guy has semi-long hair . . .
As it says on the Line-up page:
"Bobby Jarzombek (Halford, Riot, Spastik Ink, Iced Earth) - Live Drums 2007 - Present"

I can't think of anyone to replace Zonder better than Bobby, just look him up on YOUtube, the
man has chops, and if he can keep up with his Brother Ron on Guitar, he can surely deal with
Jim and Frank Big smile!

I hope they do shows in LA!  2010 for a new album is just too long a wait Cry

FW:

(And they frickin' did "The Ivory Gate of Dreams!!!!" at PPUSA X! . . . with Aresti!!! I wish I was there Cry)
