Quite simply, these are my favorite prog folk albums by far.  Just a bit curious which the general community prefers.

First Utterance.

Amazing. Absolutely, in every possible way.

2 masterpieces!!!
I love both, but I went with Jan duke this time.
If you really want to scare the hell out your girlfriend just put "First Utterance" on, and watch the shear horror unfold in her eyes, before she runs screaming out the door marked for life...

Comus.

And don't believe everyone who says their 2nd album sucks.  This weirdo thinks it wonderful in a completely different way.  Big smile

Two mad, mad, mad albums.
The Jan Dukes is probably just a tad more adventurous (and that's saying a lot), but I actually like listening to Comus more and that's where the vote went.
The damage that we do is just so powerfully strong we call it love

The damage that we do just goes on and on and on but not long enough.

Comus' First Utterance for sure, though I certainly like both -- love acid folk.  Spirogrya would provide a tighter race for me.
Just a fanboy passin' through.

Both are great, though I prefer Jan Dukes. Plus it deserves greater recognition.

Oops. Embarrassed  I blame this post on the fact that I was tired and didn't remember to search, then. Tongue  Plus, this one's a closer race than that one.

I haven't heard Comus yet, but I adore Jan Dukes de Grey. Mice and Rats in the Loft should be in the PA top 10 IMHO. Now I must find a copy of Comus.. No vote.

In the opposite of Kingfriso. I have Comus but still not able to get JDDG so no vote here too.
