Gotta vote for Lost.
Dig me...But don't...Bury me

Quite a well-picked dozen Approve. My vote goes to Childlike Faith in Childhood's End, just above La Rossa, Man-erg and Scorched Earth.

But I went for Refugee on your list
let's just stay above the moral melee
prefer the sink to the gutter
keep our sand-castle virtues
content to be a doer
as well as a thinker,
prefer lifting our pen
rather than un-sheath our sword

Difficult choice, but I went with Man-Erg.

Refugees.  Not many songs better than that - by anyone.  Man-erg comes close though.

Difficult one... Lost, Plague and Meurglys (where is it?) are their best imo.

I'm still getting familiar with most of these tracks (I'm a fairly new fan), but I'll go with Man-Erg.

When the sax solo comes in about halfway through (shortly before the above lyric), I get chills everytime. It's just, hands-down, one of the most special moments in music I've heard yet.

Yeah, that sax solo may be my favorite sax solo ever from my limited experience.  It is one of the most cathartic moments in all of music, just like the ending of "Child-like Faith."

The one from "Killer" is pretty...umm...well, it lives up to the song title Wink

Good for you, though.  As I'm sure many fans will attest to (as well as some of the haters), hearing VDGG for the very first time is a very special experience.  Hope you enjoy it.Smile

Ace! I find the best way to appreciate VdGG is to listen to albums on a loop. Same with any prog album I guess. Pawn Hearts works really well listening to it over and over again.

Still Life is my favourite. But that's another discussion topic.
