Difficult one... Lost, Plague and Meurglys (where is it?) are their best imo.

I'm still getting familiar with most of these tracks (I'm a fairly new fan), but I'll go with Man-Erg.

Yeah, that sax solo may be my favorite sax solo ever from my limited experience. It is one of the most cathartic moments in all of music, just like the ending of "Child-like Faith."

I know of but haven't heard any of these songs. I just ordered Godbluff.. yes, I am a Van der Graaf Newb..

Good for you, though. As I'm sure many fans will attest to (as well as some of the haters), hearing VDGG for the very first time is a very special experience. Hope you enjoy it.

All from the list are super, I love this band, but I have a soft spot for Pilgrims, one of my fav pieces ever made by any band.

Ace! I find the best way to appreciate VdGG is to listen to albums on a loop. Same with any prog album I guess. Pawn Hearts works really well listening to it over and over again.

Still Life is my favourite. But that's another discussion topic.
