Roine is one of the most underrated guitarists in music today. His style is emotional, technically proficient, and engaging. Who agrees?

He's ok. I used to like his style a lot, especially the solos on The Flower King.  Now I'm not really bothered.

Hi Anthony !  Yes, I very much agree with you. Roine is one of the best players out there. He may not have the speed of some, but his style is very expressive and melodic, something not all guitarists do with the facility he does. One thing I would like to see more of from him though, is acoustic playing. I believe he would suprise us all if given the chance !     I also like his singing voice quote a lot. He may not have  a "typical" lead vocalist's sound, but it shows a lot of character at times and this suits his music quite well.
Steve.

I don't listen to much of 'The Flower Kings' or 'Transatlantic' anymore, but still one of the things that made me listen those bands was Roine Stolt's fabulous guitar playing.

I absolutely love Astral Dog, so Zappa-ish.

As a soloist, he reminds me of Zappa or Howe, but his rhythm work is fantastic, and I enjoy him as a composer even more.

Very good guitarist! For sure there is the Zappa influence in his playing and his compositions.
