Here's a suggestion of mine for either Avant (which I believe would be the best fit) or maybe JR/F.  Yet another project of Yoshida Tatsuya, The World Heritage has one release to date that I know of, the CD+DVD combo Invitation to the World Heritage.  The band is another supergroup, containing all the members of Korekyojinn (Yoshida Tatsuya on drums, Kido Natsuki on guitar, and Nasuno Mitsuri on bass) as well as Katsui Yuji (Bondage Fruit, etc) on violin and Yamamoto Seiichi (Boredoms, etc) on guitar as well.  Here's a sample of their music on Youtube:

and there are four samples (two minutes each, I believe) on Squidco's album page here: http://www.squidco.com/miva/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=S&Product_Code=12342&Product_Count=&Category_Code=

Enjoy! Big smile

It's good, and I would put it where Korekyojin is -- in Avant.

Yeah, agreed.  They're a pretty good improvising band as well.  Every track on the CD is improv, and all but four tracks on the DVD are as well, most of the time they sound pretty tight in their improvs.

I just found out the band has released another album in 2006, ICOMOS.  I'll be ordering it soon, now that I know it exists.

Wow, only 32 minutes between notifying us is that you'd be ordering it soon and letting us know that you'd ordered it. That was remarkably fast! Clap

Bravo! LOL

But seriously, enjoy.

Yeah, actually I wasn't even sure it was still available, as it wasn't even listed on Yoshida's website.  But I emailed him about it and he responded incredibly quickly saying that the only reason it's not listed is that there are very few copies left, and that he would sell me a copy.  Of course, I agreed. Tongue

That sounds really, really good, I don't see why it would possibly not get put in the archives

Their earlier album is very easily at least as good as their newer album.

Yeah, and I did some more extensive searching, that's all I've found now.  Tongue
